“LILL, I LOVE YOU SO SO MUCH” — HEARTBROKEN MUM MAKES DESPERATE PLEA AS MISSING GIRL, 13, VANISHES AFTER BOARDING BUS
The mother of a missing 13-year-old girl has made an emotional plea for her daughter to come home, as police continue a major search nearly a week after she disappeared.
Lillia Lloyd Walton, from Bolton, Greater Manchester, was reported missing after leaving her home on Friday, September 11.
Her family said she did not return home, prompting police to launch an investigation into her whereabouts.
LAST SEEN BOARDING THE 247 BUS
Police say Lillia was later captured on CCTV in the Piccadilly Gardens area of Manchester city centre and at the Trafford Centre.
Her last confirmed sighting came at approximately 1:50 p.m. on Saturday, September 12, when she was seen boarding the 247 bus at the Trafford Centre.
The bus was travelling towards Altrincham.
However, investigators do not know how long Lillia remained on the bus or where she eventually got off.
That has become a crucial part of the investigation as officers work to establish her movements after the last confirmed sighting.
“MY HEART IS BREAKING WITHOUT YOU HERE”
As the search entered its sixth day, Lillia’s mother Jessica made a heartbreaking appeal to her daughter.
In a statement read publicly on her behalf, Jessica said:
“Lill, I love you so so much.”
She continued:
“My heart is breaking without you here. I need to know you are safe. We all need you back home safe and well.”
Police also sent a direct message to Lillia, reassuring her that she was not in trouble.
Chief Superintendent Helen Critchley said:
“Lillia, if you see this appeal please know that your family love you, miss you and just want to know that you are safe.”
She added: “You are not in any trouble. They simply want you to come home.”
POLICE ASK PASSENGERS TO COME FORWARD
Greater Manchester Police are now particularly interested in hearing from anyone who travelled on the 247 bus around the time Lillia boarded it.
Investigators are asking passengers to think carefully about whether they remember seeing her or speaking with her.
Police are also appealing for anyone with relevant CCTV, Ring doorbell or other doorbell footage, as well as anyone who has had contact or conversations with Lillia since she disappeared.
Even a small piece of information could help investigators reconstruct her movements.
WHAT LILLIA LOOKS LIKE
Police describe Lillia as a slim white girl, around 5ft 5in tall, with long light-brown hair and clear-frame glasses.
At the time of her last confirmed sighting, she was wearing a black zip-up hooded jacket and light-blue wide-leg jeans and was carrying a black Nike backpack.
Police have urged anyone who believes they may have seen her since September 12 to come forward.
A FAMILY WAITING FOR HER RETURN
For Jessica and the rest of Lillia’s family, the uncertainty has continued day after day.
There has been no confirmed sighting of the teenager since she boarded the bus.
Police have said extensive enquiries are continuing and officers remain focused on finding Lillia safe and well.
Her mother’s message is simple.
She wants her daughter to know that she is loved.
She wants her to know that she is not in trouble.
And above all, she wants Lillia to come home.
“Lill, I love you so so much.”
