CANNON HALL FARM’S MOST DIFFICULT STORY IS UNFOLDING FAR FROM THE FIELDS — FARMER RUTH’S HUSBAND DAVE FACES TERMINAL CANCER

For many people who follow Cannon Hall Farm, Farmer Ruth is a familiar face.

The fundraiser, titled “Supporting Farmer Ruth and her family,” was organized by Jacqui Tymon on behalf of Maryann Bestford.

It explains that Ruth, Dave and their two sons are facing a period filled with uncertainty as Dave undergoes treatment.

The appeal was created not simply to raise money, but to give the family some breathing room during a devastating period.

The organizers said they hoped the support would help ease some of the pressures facing the family and allow them to concentrate on what matters most — being together, spending precious time as a family and making memories.

As news of Dave’s diagnosis spread among people who follow Cannon Hall Farm, supporters responded with messages, donations and words of encouragement.

In a video shared on social media, Ruth thanked people for their support following the news of Dave’s diagnosis.

The response has grown into a wider show of support from people who know the family personally, have visited Cannon Hall Farm or have simply come to know Ruth through her online presence.

The fundraiser had received almost £19,843 from around 1,000 donations when it was recently crawled, showing the scale of support from the Cannon Hall Farm community.
