‼️ AFTER MORE THAN THREE MONTHS BESIDE HER SON’S HOSPITAL BED, XAVIER TAYLOR’S MOM IS FINALLY SPEAKING DIRECTLY TO THE WORLD.

And her message is bigger than Xavier.

“This is not just about Xavier.”

For more than three months, Mai-Lin DosReis-Taylor has watched her 12-year-old son remain in a coma after a baseball struck him in the neck during warmups on May 26.

Now, for the first time, she is sharing a deeply personal message with the public — and asking people far beyond New Jersey to join her family in prayer.

“I’ve been sitting here with Xavier,” Mai-Lin said, describing a journey that has changed her family’s life in ways they never imagined.

But what she says she sees happening around her son has become about more than one hospital room.

Across the country, strangers have worn Xavier’s No. 6.

Baseball bats have been placed outside homes.

Communities have gathered.

People who have never met the Taylor family have prayed for a 12-year-old boy they know only through his story.

And Mai-Lin believes there is a reason so many people continue to care.

“We’re just amazed as a family what the Lord is doing with all of this and how He has kept Xavier still relevant,” she said.

Then came the words that explain why she is now asking the world to join them:

“We know that the Lord is doing something so much bigger than with Xavier.”

A NIGHT OF PRAYER — FOR THE WORLD

On September 19, the family is asking people everywhere to stop and pray for Xavier during a special Night of Prayer & Praise.

The gathering is scheduled for 5–7 p.m. Eastern in Maple Shade, New Jersey.

But the family doesn’t want the prayer to stay inside one field or one community.

Mai-Lin is asking churches to gather.

Families to pray together at home.

Friends to connect through Zoom or conference calls.

And anyone who believes in prayer to pause wherever they are and join them.

“We’re asking for the world to get involved,” she said.

“We’re praying for revival. We’re praying for miracles and healings and deliverance to break out throughout the world.”

A FATHER WHO JUST WANTS HIS SON BACK

Behind the larger message is something much more personal.

A father missing his son.

Gregory Taylor has spent these months watching life continue around them while the ordinary moments he once shared with Xavier remain painfully absent.

The conversations.

The arguments.

The laughter.

The everyday chaos that parents sometimes don’t realize they will miss until it disappears.

“Mom and I miss our daily interactions, arguments, and flat out war,” Gregory wrote.

Then he described what Xavier has always meant to their family:

“You my son are the glue to our road. We miss you immensely. You provide us with laughter, craziness, and sheer joy.”

And then came the family’s deepest hope:

“God will wake you.”

THE MIRACLE THEY ARE STILL PRAYING FOR

For the Taylor family, the prayer remains simple.

“The miracle that we believe we will be seeing for Xavier will not just be affecting him, it’ll be affecting so many other people because this world is hurting.”
