A Saturday night that should have ended like any other became an unimaginable nightmare for a Southern California family.

A 6-year-old boy was fatally struck by a Tesla Cybertruck being driven by his father as the vehicle was backing out of their driveway.

The child, identified as Preston El Guindy, was rushed to a nearby hospital but could not be saved.

His father, Tarik El Guindy, is known in the bodybuilding world as a judge for the prestigious Mr. Olympia competition.

THE TRAGEDY HAPPENED IN SECONDS

The crash happened shortly before 9 p.m. Saturday, September 19, outside the family’s home on Brookhaven Court near Highway 79, just east of Temecula, California.

According to the California Highway Patrol, El Guindy, 48, was backing the Cybertruck out of the driveway when the vehicle struck Preston.

The boy was outside the vehicle when the collision occurred.

His family immediately called 911.

Emergency crews arrived within minutes and rushed Preston to Inland Valley Medical Center in Wildomar.

Despite efforts to save him, he died that night from his injuries.
