Video Shows Moment Missing Arizona Teen Ryker Lee Was Found Safe

A 15-year-old Arizona boy who had been the subject of an urgent missing-person search was found safe Friday afternoon in the Three Points area, bringing relief to his family and those involved in the search.

Video from the scene shows the moment Ryker Lee was located, marking the end of several days of uncertainty after the teenager disappeared earlier in the week.

Ryker was last seen around 10 a.m. Tuesday, September 22, near South Silver Springs Road in Three Points, an area approximately 25 miles west-southwest of downtown Tucson.

His disappearance prompted authorities to launch a search while investigators were also examining serious concerns involving his home environment.

According to investigators, the case raised allegations of severe neglect involving Ryker and his siblings. Authorities alleged that the teenager had been confined for extended periods inside a small room in an RV.

Investigators also reported concerns about the reported living conditions, including allegations that the room did not have running water or air conditioning.

Ryker’s three siblings were removed from the home and placed in protective custody as the investigation continued.

His mother, 39-year-old Danielle Lee-Sharp, and stepfather, 43-year-old Michael Menzie, were arrested and face child-abuse-related charges. The allegations against them remain allegations unless and until established in court.

Ryker’s disappearance was considered particularly concerning because he has Type 1 diabetes and requires ongoing medical care.

Authorities previously released information about his appearance and urged members of the public to report any sightings. Investigators also obtained video footage that reportedly showed Ryker walking alone in the area.

On Friday afternoon, the search came to its most important conclusion when Ryker was located safe in the Three Points area.
