“15 SEPARATE STABBING INCIDENTS…” — NEWBORN BABY MARIA SKOPOVA’S HEARTBREAKING STORY EMERGES

“15 SEPARATE STABBING INCIDENTS…” — NEWBORN BABY MARIA SKOPOVA’S HEARTBREAKING STORY EMERGES 💔
A newborn baby girl who died on the very day she was born has now been identified as Maria Skopova, as disturbing details surrounding her final hours have emerged in court.
Maria was previously referred to only as “Baby S” during the criminal proceedings.
She was born on August 30, 2026, in Sheffield, England, and was later found dead at a property in the Wincobank area.
A TRAGEDY ON THE DAY SHE WAS BORN
According to evidence heard during the proceedings, Maria was born at around 37 weeks.
After her birth, her mother, Andrea Skopova, 20, went to hospital.
Medical staff became concerned and contacted police. Officers went to the relevant addresses as they tried to establish what had happened to the newborn.
Maria was eventually found at an outhouse at a property on Holywell Heights.
Emergency crews attended, but sadly the baby could not be saved.
COURT HEARS THE EXTENT OF HER INJURIES
At the opening of Maria’s inquest, the coroner heard that the baby had suffered 33 wounds from 15 separate stabbing incidents.
A forensic post-mortem had previously established that her cause of death was stab wounds, South Yorkshire Police confirmed.
The details have shocked the local community and those following the case.
The inquest has now been adjourned until March 25, 2027, while the criminal proceedings continue.
FOUR ADULTS FACE MURDER CHARGES
Four adults have been charged with murder:
- Andrea Skopova, 20
- Peter Horvath Jr., 19
- Peter Horvath Sr., 38
- Nina Horvathova, 37
They also face charges relating to causing or allowing the death of a child and allegedly attempting to conceal what happened.
A 15-year-old girl has separately been charged with perverting the course of justice. She cannot legally be named because of her age.
THE CASE NOW MOVES TOWARD TRIAL
The four adults appeared at Sheffield Crown Court on October 2.
No pleas were entered during the hearing, and all five defendants were remanded in custody.
The trial is currently scheduled to begin on April 12, 2027, and is expected to last between six and seven weeks.
The Crown Prosecution Service has stressed that the defendants have the right to a fair trial and that the charges are not findings of guilt.
A BABY WHO NEVER GOT THE CHANCE TO GROW UP
Maria’s life lasted only a matter of hours.
She never had the chance to take her first steps, celebrate a birthday or grow up surrounded by the people who might have loved her.
Now her name has been publicly revealed, and the legal process will determine what happened in the moments surrounding her death.
For a community already shaken by the case, the hope is that the court proceedings will eventually provide answers for a baby whose life ended before it had truly begun.
