GYPSY ROSE BLANCHARD’S PARTNER KEN URKER DIES SUDDENLY ON HIS 34TH BIRTHDAY

GYPSY ROSE BLANCHARD’S PARTNER KEN URKER DIES SUDDENLY ON HIS 34TH BIRTHDAY
Gypsy Rose Blanchard is facing an unimaginable loss after her longtime partner and the father of her daughter, Ken Urker, died suddenly on his 34th birthday.
Ken was found dead at his home in Raceland, Louisiana, on Thursday, October 1, according to the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to the residence at around 6:15 p.m. after concerns were raised about his wellbeing.
Authorities confirmed that Ken was found dead when deputies arrived, and the investigation remains ongoing. At this stage, officials have said there is no evidence of foul play.
GYPSY ROSE IS “IN DISBELIEF”
Gypsy Rose has now spoken publicly about Ken’s death, describing herself as devastated and struggling to process what happened.
In an interview with PEOPLE, she said she believes Ken died from an overdose, but stressed that she does not know whether it was intentional.
She said Ken had not been in a good state of mind recently.
For Gypsy, the loss is especially painful because Ken was not only her partner but also the father of their young daughter, Aurora Raina Urker.
“HE WAS AN AMAZING FATHER”
In her tribute, Gypsy remembered Ken as a devoted father and the person she considered her soulmate.
She said he was deeply loved and that their daughter would always carry a part of him with her.
Gypsy also asked people to show compassion and privacy toward their families as they deal with the sudden loss.
Her message focused not on the headlines surrounding their relationship, but on the man she knew privately — a father, partner and loved one.
AURORA WAS THE CENTRE OF HIS WORLD
Ken and Gypsy welcomed their daughter, Aurora Raina, in December 2024.
Gypsy has said that Ken loved their daughter deeply.
Following his death, she said she wants Aurora to grow up knowing who her father really was rather than knowing him only through comments and stories posted online.
She promised that her daughter would know how much her father loved her.
THEIR RELATIONSHIP HAD A LONG HISTORY
Ken and Gypsy first connected years ago while Gypsy was incarcerated.
Their relationship developed through letters and visits, eventually leading to an engagement in 2018.
The couple separated in 2019 and went their separate ways for several years.
During that period, Gypsy married Ryan Anderson, but that relationship later ended.
Gypsy and Ken eventually reconnected in April 2024, giving their relationship another chance.
Eight months later, they welcomed Aurora.
A SUDDEN END TO A NEW CHAPTER
For those who followed their story, Ken’s death comes after the couple had entered a very different chapter of their lives.
They had become parents and were raising their daughter together while navigating the enormous public attention that had surrounded their relationship from the beginning.
Gypsy has said Ken experienced intense scrutiny and online harassment during their time together.
In her statement following his death, she said she hoped people would remember that there was a real person behind the social-media discussions and headlines.
INVESTIGATION REMAINS OPEN
Although reports have raised questions about a possible overdose, authorities have not officially announced a cause of death.
A forensic examination has been conducted, but toxicology results are still pending, meaning the official cause remains undetermined for now.
The Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office has said the investigation is continuing and that there is currently no evidence of foul play.
That means some of the details circulating online should be treated carefully until investigators and the medical examiner release confirmed findings.
HIS FAMILY IS ALSO MOURNING
Ken’s sister Autumn has also spoken about her brother’s death.
In an emotional message, she recalled that one of the last things Ken said to her was:
“I love you.”
The family is now mourning a man whose life became closely connected with one of the most widely discussed personal stories in America.
But beyond the headlines, Ken was also a son, brother, father and friend.
A FATHER WHO WILL BE REMEMBERED
Gypsy has said she wants Aurora to grow up knowing her father for who he truly was.
Not through internet speculation.
Not through old headlines.
But through the memories of the people who loved him.
Ken’s death has left Gypsy and both families facing a devastating new reality — raising a little girl who will now grow up carrying memories of a father she lost far too soon.
For Gypsy, the grief is still raw.
Ken was 34 years old. It was supposed to be his birthday. Instead, his family is now saying goodbye.
And as the investigation continues, the people closest to him are left with the memories of the man they knew away from the headlines.
“YOU WILL ALWAYS BE MY GREATEST LOVE STORY.”
