HARRISON, 6 — THE FINAL BIKE RIDE THAT LEFT A FAMILY HEARTBROKEN

“FOREVER LOVED, FOREVER MISSED, FOREVER 6” — FAMILY REMEMBERS THE LITTLE BOY WHO COULD LIGHT UP A ROOM

Harrison Glynne Jones was only six years old when he went out for a bike ride near his home in Llanfairfechan, North Wales.

Within minutes, a family evening turned into an unimaginable tragedy.

Police were called shortly after 5pm on Thursday, October 1, following reports of a collision involving a child and a white Ford Transit Tipper on Mill Road. Despite the efforts of emergency services, Harrison was pronounced dead at the scene.

His death has left his parents, sisters and wider family struggling to understand how their lives could change so suddenly.

Those who loved Harrison now want the world to remember him not for the heartbreaking circumstances of his final moments, but for the happy, energetic little boy he was.

A fundraising page set up to support Harrison’s family described him as a “cheeky chappy, full of character with a personality that could light up a room.”

The tribute said he was loved more deeply than words could ever express.

His family said there were simply no words capable of describing the heartbreak and devastation they are now experiencing.

The fundraiser was created to help Harrison’s parents, Kayleigh and Daryl, with funeral and memorial expenses, household bills and other essential costs while they take time away from work to grieve and be with their family.

The response from the community has been overwhelming, with thousands of pounds donated in the days following the tragedy. By October 4, reports said the fundraiser had passed £23,000.

North Wales Police have launched a full investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision.

A 39-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of driving offences and has since been released under investigation while enquiries continue. He has not been charged in connection with the incident.

Detective Inspector Tim Evans, from the North Wales Police Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said the force was renewing its appeal for information.

Officers are particularly interested in hearing from anyone who was in the area around Pen y Bryn Road and Mill Road at about 5pm on October 1.

Police are also asking residents and drivers to check private CCTV, doorbell cameras and dashcam footage, even if they initially believed the footage contained nothing important.

The force has urged people not to speculate about what happened or share material online while the investigation continues.

A FAMILY TRYING TO SAY GOODBYE

For Harrison’s loved ones, however, the investigation is only one part of an unbearable period.

They now face the painful task of saying goodbye to a six-year-old boy who should have had decades of life ahead of him.

The words chosen by his family have become a simple but powerful farewell:

“Forever loved, forever missed, forever 6.”

In the middle of a tragedy that has devastated an entire family, they want Harrison’s personality, laughter and joy to be remembered.

He was their son.

Their brother.

Their little boy.

And, to those who knew him, a child whose personality could brighten an entire room.

As the police investigation continues, the family’s message remains painfully simple:

Harrison will never be forgotten.
