“FOREVER LOVED, FOREVER MISSED, FOREVER 6” — HARRISON’S FINAL BIKE RIDE LEFT HIS FAMILY HEARTBROKEN
He was only six years old. After asking his parents if he could go for a bike ride following dinner, Harrison Glynne Jones was involved in a tragic collision just metres from his family home in North Wales. Now, his loved ones are asking everyone to remember the cheeky, happy little boy whose personality could light up a room.
For Harrison’s family, October 1, 2026, began like an ordinary day. By the end of it, their world had changed forever.
The six-year-old was riding his bike near his home in Llanfairfechan, Conwy, when he was involved in a collision with a white Ford Transit tipper van.
Emergency services were called shortly after 5 p.m., but Harrison could not be saved and was pronounced dead at the scene.
His parents, Daryl and Kayleigh, and his older sisters, Sienna and Eira, have been left facing a loss that no family should have to endure.
A LITTLE BOY WHO BROUGHT HAPPINESS EVERYWHERE
In a tribute shared through a fundraising appeal, Harrison’s family described him as a “cheeky chappy, full of character with a personality that could light up a room.”
They said he was loved more deeply than words could ever express.
Harrison loved making people laugh and had the kind of lively personality that left a lasting impression on those around him. His family’s tribute has touched people across the country, many of whom have been moved by the thought of a young child whose life ended so suddenly.
For his parents and sisters, he was not a name in a headline. He was a much-loved son and brother whose laughter and presence were part of everyday family life.
THE BIKE RIDE THAT CHANGED EVERYTHING
Reports say Harrison had asked his parents if he could go outside for a bike ride after dinner.
The collision happened on Mill Road, close to the family home in Llanfairfechan. Police were called at around 5 p.m. on Thursday, October 1.
North Wales Police confirmed that a 39-year-old man had been arrested on suspicion of driving offences and later released under investigation while enquiries continued.
Investigators appealed for witnesses and anyone with private CCTV, doorbell-camera or dashcam footage from the area around Mill Road and Pen y Bryn Road to come forward.
The circumstances of the collision remain under investigation, and police have urged people not to speculate about what happened. <
A COMMUNITY RALLIES AROUND HIS FAMILY
As news of Harrison’s death spread, messages of sympathy poured in from people who wanted to help his family through the difficult weeks ahead.
A fundraising appeal was launched by Kate Jones to help with funeral and memorial expenses, as well as household bills and essential costs while Harrison’s parents take time away from work to grieve.
The response was immediate. Donations and messages from strangers and members of the community showed how many people wanted to offer support during a time when words could never be enough.
The fundraiser also gave people a way to help Harrison’s family focus on saying goodbye to their little boy without carrying every financial burden alone.
“FOREVER LOVED, FOREVER MISSED, FOREVER 6”
Those words, shared by Harrison’s family, have become a simple and heartbreaking tribute to a life that ended far too soon.
Six years old — an age when children should be discovering the world, making memories with their siblings and enjoying the freedom of a bike ride close to home.
Harrison’s family now face the painful task of learning to live without him, while holding on to the memories that made him so special.
His story has reminded many people how quickly an ordinary afternoon can change, and how deeply a child’s loss can affect a whole community.
Harrison Glynne Jones was only six. His family’s grief cannot be measured, but their message is clear: he will always be their cheeky, happy little boy, loved beyond words and never forgotten.
