LITTLE GIRL’S SMILE HIDES A RACE AGAINST TIME AS A RARE CONDITION THREATENS THE VISION IN HER ONLY HEALTHY EYE

Four-year-old Nisreen Lulu still greets the world with a bright smile.
She laughs, plays, and enjoys the simple moments of childhood, unaware of the seriousness of the condition that has quietly shaped her young life since birth.
Since the day she was born, Nisreen has lived with a hemangioma that has continued to grow instead of fading. The swelling now presses heavily on her eye, and she has already developed amblyopia (lazy eye).

Doctors warn that without urgent advanced treatment, she may lose her eyesight permanently.
For her family, each passing day brings growing concern.
The highly specialized surgery and care Nisreen requires are not currently available where she lives, leaving her parents searching for a way to access treatment elsewhere before her condition worsens.

Her mother says watching her daughter continue to smile through it all is both comforting and heartbreaking.
“She doesn’t fully understand what is happening,” she shared. “She still plays, laughs, and asks about the world around her. All we want is the chance for her to keep seeing it.”

Although Nisreen remains cheerful, her family knows that time is important. They hope to arrange urgent travel abroad so she can be evaluated by specialists with experience treating complex vascular conditions affecting the eye.
“Our daughter deserves the opportunity to protect the vision she still has,” her mother said. “We are holding on to hope that someone, somewhere, can help give her that chance.”

Like any four-year-old, Nisreen dreams of discovering the world around her—watching the sky change color, recognizing the faces of the people she loves, and creating memories that every child should have the opportunity to see.
Now, her family’s greatest wish is simple: to reach the medical care that could help preserve her sight and allow her future to remain as bright as the smile she wears every day.
