Five Bodies, Including Two Russian Siblings and a Thai Family, Found Buried Near Pattaya

Thai police have uncovered the bodies of five people—including two Russian siblings and a Thai family of three—in a wooded area near Pattaya, in what authorities describe as a deeply disturbing investigation that has led to the detention of two suspects while officers continue searching for additional alleged accomplices.

According to Provincial Police Region 2, investigators discovered the remains in two separate burial sites in the Sak Maew forest in Chon Buri’s Bang Lamung district. The victims were identified as 22-year-old Diana Nazimova, her 17-year-old brother Roman Nazimov, and a Thai father, mother, and child who had previously been reported missing.

Police said the investigation intensified after officers located the Russian siblings’ partially dismantled motorcycle buried in the same area. The discovery prompted an extensive search, ultimately leading investigators to the graves where the victims’ bodies were found.

Authorities have detained two Thai men for questioning. Investigators allege the suspects posed as police officers before confronting the Russian siblings in an apparent robbery targeting their motorcycle. According to police, one suspect has made statements that are consistent with portions of the physical evidence, though investigators continue to verify all claims through forensic analysis. Officials emphasized that the allegations have not yet been tested in court.

During questioning, the suspects also allegedly directed investigators to a second burial site, where officers recovered the bodies of the Thai family of three. Police are now examining whether the two cases are connected and believe two additional individuals may have participated in the crimes. A search for those alleged accomplices remains underway.

Forensic teams have transported all five bodies for autopsies to determine the precise causes of death. Detectives are also reviewing surveillance footage, interviewing witnesses, and examining evidence recovered from the burial sites and the victims’ belongings as they work to reconstruct the timeline of events.

The case has drawn widespread attention in both Thailand and Russia because of its brutality and the international nature of the investigation. Thai authorities said they are coordinating with the Russian Embassy to keep the victims’ relatives informed while continuing to gather evidence.

Police have stressed that the investigation remains active and that the detained suspects are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court. As officers continue searching for the remaining suspects and processing forensic evidence, authorities say their priority is establishing exactly what happened and ensuring that everyone responsible is brought before the justice system.
