Southport Killer Axel Rudakubana Moved to Broadmoor Psychiatric Hospital

Axel Rudakubana, the teenager convicted of murdering three young girls in the Southport attack, has reportedly been transferred to Broadmoor Hospital, a high-security psychiatric facility in England.

Rudakubana was sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum term of 52 years after being convicted of murdering Alice da Silva Aguiar, 9, Bebe King, 6, and Elsie Dot Stancombe, 7, during a knife attack at a children’s dance class in Southport in July 2024.

The attack shocked the United Kingdom and prompted widespread mourning, with the three girls remembered by their families and communities as much-loved children whose lives were tragically cut short.

Rudakubana’s transfer to Broadmoor places him in a secure psychiatric setting while he receives specialist care. The move reflects the complex mental-health issues that have surrounded his case and the assessments carried out during the legal proceedings.
