22-Year-Old College Student Killed by Police After Mistakenly Entering Wrong Pennsylvania Home

A 22-year-old college student and baseball player was shot and killed by police after he allegedly mistakenly entered the wrong home in Upper Pottsgrove Township, Pennsylvania, early Sunday morning.

The victim was identified as Glenwood “Bubba” Pysher IV. The incident occurred at approximately 12:30 a.m. on August 23, 2026.

According to Pysher’s parents, he had been drinking with friends while celebrating a friend’s birthday. While making his way to a friend’s house, he apparently mistook another residence for his friend’s home and entered the property.

The homeowner called 911, reporting a possible intruder.

When officers arrived, Pysher was reportedly located at the rear of the house. A confrontation followed, and officers opened fire, killing him.

Family Says Pysher Was Unarmed

Pysher’s father said his son was unarmed at the time of the shooting and had only been carrying a cellphone and a backpack.

The family believes Pysher had realized that he was at the wrong house and was waiting for a friend to pick him up when police arrived.

However, authorities have not yet released a complete account of what happened during the critical minutes leading up to the shooting.

The Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office and local authorities are investigating the incident. The circumstances surrounding the confrontation, including what officers knew when they arrived and what led to the use of deadly force, remain under investigation.

As the investigation continues, officials have not publicly reached a final conclusion regarding the circumstances of Pysher’s death.
