Bank of America VP Erin Piacenti Killed in Times Square Attack as Fundraiser for Her Baby Surpasses $650,000
Erin Piacenti, a 32-year-old vice president at Bank of America, was tragically killed in a stabbing attack in Times Square on August 31, 2026—on what was supposed to be her first day back at work after maternity leave.
Piacenti is survived by her husband, Frank, and their five-month-old daughter, Madison, who is now at the center of a fundraising effort created to help secure her future.
An official GoFundMe campaign has been launched in Madison’s memory and to provide financial support as she grows up without her mother. The fundraiser quickly drew widespread support from family, friends, colleagues and strangers moved by the tragedy.

The campaign initially surpassed $500,000 and has continued to climb.
According to the latest update cited by Business Insider, the fundraiser has now collected more than $650,000 from over 6,700 donors, bringing it closer to its $750,000 goal.
The outpouring of support reflects the profound impact Piacenti’s death has had on those who knew her and on people across the country who were moved by the loss of a young mother whose life was cut short.
For her family, the fundraising effort represents more than a financial contribution. It is a way for supporters to help Madison as she grows up and to ensure that her mother’s memory remains part of her future.
As the campaign continues, thousands of donors have come together to offer their condolences and support to Frank and Madison during an unimaginable time of grief.
