LATEST REPORT SHEDS NEW LIGHT ON THE 15-YEAR-OLD GIRL IN THE SHEFFIELD BABY S CASE

She is the only person charged in connection with the Sheffield Baby S case whose identity remains protected by law — and her appearance in court has raised fresh questions about what investigators believe happened inside the family home.

The 15-year-old girl has been charged with perverting the course of justice, while four adults — Andrea Skopova, 20, Peter Horvath Jr, 19, Peter Horvath Sr, 38, and Nina Horvathova, 37 — face murder charges alongside allegations of causing or allowing the death of a child and attempting to conceal what happened.

But despite intense public interest, authorities have not publicly disclosed a detailed account of what the teenager allegedly did.

What is known is that Baby S, a newborn girl, was found at a property in Sheffield’s Wincobank area after emergency services were called on August 30.

Prosecutors told the court that the infant had suffered 33 wounds from 15 separate stabbings. Her body was found wrapped in a towel inside a blue bag in an outbuilding, on top of a washing machine.

The four adults appeared at Sheffield Crown Court alongside the 15-year-old, who cannot legally be named because of her age. During the hearing, both Andrea Skopova and the teenager were reported to have sobbed in the dock.

The teenager has been remanded in youth custody.

The four adult defendants have also been remanded in custody, with their trial scheduled to begin on April 12, 2027, and expected to last six to seven weeks.

For now, the exact nature of the teenager’s alleged involvement remains undisclosed in publicly available court reports.

And that unanswered question is likely to remain at the center of public attention as the case moves toward trial.
