MUM AND THREE CHILDREN KILLED IN DEVASTATING HOUSE FIRE AS FAMILY PAYS HEARTBREAKING TRIBUTE

A mother and her three children have died after a devastating house fire tore through their family home in Bootle, Merseyside, leaving relatives and a local community “heartbroken.”

The victims were named by Merseyside Police as Elisha Brabin, 36, and her three children, Leo Brabin, 16, Ellis Brabin, eight, and Prudence Brabin, seven.

The four died following the fire at their home on Stone Square in the early hours of Tuesday, September 22.

Their deaths have left a family grieving the loss of a mother and three children in a tragedy that has shocked the Bootle community.

EMERGENCY CREWS RUSHED TO THE HOME

Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service received a 999 call at 3:38am on September 22.

Fire crews arrived at around 3:45am to find the semi-detached property well alight.

At the height of the incident, six fire engines were at the scene.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered the burning property and began searching for anyone who might still be inside.

During the search, crews discovered four people in an upstairs bedroom. They were found with no signs of life and were later confirmed to have died.

Another person was found outside the property and was taken to hospital suffering from burns.

Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service described the incident as devastating, while Chief Fire Officer Nick Searle said the blaze had been an “intense fire which spread very rapidly.”

NEIGHBOURS AWOKEN BY THE TRAGEDY

The fire shocked residents living along Stone Square.

One neighbour told reporters that people had rushed outside after hearing the emergency response.

Another said they had heard shouting during the early hours but initially believed it was an argument.

When they came downstairs, they saw fire engines filling the street.

Neighbour Loti Nambombe said people had tried to help before firefighters arrived.

He described the area as a community where people looked after one another, adding that the tragedy had left everyone devastated.

The street was subsequently cordoned off while investigators examined the scene.

FAMILY PAYS TRIBUTE TO FOUR LIVES LOST

On Wednesday, September 23, the family of Elisha, Leo, Ellis and Prudence released a heartbreaking statement through Merseyside Police.

They said they were “devastated” by the loss of all four.

They described Elisha as a devoted mother who “lived for her children,” saying that her children were her whole world.

Leo, Ellis and Prudence were remembered as children who brought “laughter and precious memories” to their family.

The family said the loss of Elisha and the three children had left them heartbroken and that the impact of the tragedy would be felt forever.

They also asked for privacy as relatives come to terms with the devastating loss.

COMMUNITY RALLIES AROUND THE FAMILY

As news of the tragedy spread, neighbours began leaving flowers, cards, candles and soft toys near the property.

A fundraising effort was also launched to support the grieving family.

Sky News reported that more than £5,000 had been raised by Wednesday, with organisers saying the money could help with funeral costs or other needs faced by the family.

For residents, the support is a way of showing the family that they are not facing the tragedy alone.

Merseyside Police and Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service are conducting a joint investigation into the cause of the fire.

At this stage, authorities have not publicly established what caused the blaze.
