13-YEAR-OLD JULIAN AMADOR DIES AFTER SCHOOL BUS OVERTURNS IN TEXAS

A 13-year-old Texas student has died after a school bus carrying four students veered off a rural road, struck a culvert and overturned in Denton County.

The student was identified as Julian Amador, 13, of Sanger, Texas, following the September 24 crash, according to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The fatal collision happened at around 4:55 p.m. Thursday on Huling Road near Lois Road East in an unincorporated area of Denton County, north of Dallas.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the Sanger Independent School District bus was traveling northbound when it suddenly left the roadway, struck a culvert and rolled over.

FOUR STUDENTS WERE ON THE BUS

There were four students and the driver aboard the bus when the crash occurred.

The driver was identified as 38-year-old Jesse Padgett of Sanger.

Padgett and three of the students were treated at the scene for minor injuries.

Julian, however, suffered more serious injuries and was transported by ambulance to a local hospital. He later died from injuries sustained in the crash.

No other student fatalities were reported.

The circumstances surrounding Julian’s final moments have not been publicly detailed.

COMMUNITY MOURNS JULIAN

News of Julian’s death quickly spread through the Sanger community, leaving classmates, families and local residents mourning the teenager.

Sanger ISD confirmed that one of its students had died and said the district was heartbroken by the tragedy.

“Our hearts are with the student’s family and all those impacted by this tragedy,” the district said, asking the community to keep the family and everyone affected in their thoughts.

Local officials also expressed condolences to Julian’s family and the Sanger ISD community.

WFAA later reported that Julian was being remembered by people in Sanger as “a wonderful kid.”

INVESTIGATION CONTINUES

The Texas Department of Public Safety is leading the investigation into the crash.

At this stage, authorities have confirmed what happened immediately before the rollover: the bus was traveling north on Huling Road, left the roadway, struck a culvert and overturned.

However, officials have not publicly said why the bus veered off the road.

Investigators have not announced whether weather, road conditions, a medical emergency, mechanical problems or another factor played a role. Those possibilities should not be assumed while the investigation remains ongoing.

The crash has also drawn attention to school-bus safety in Texas, but officials have not indicated that seat-belt issues caused this particular collision.

A FAMILY LEFT GRIEVING

For Julian’s loved ones, the investigation is now unfolding alongside an unimaginable loss.

A routine school-bus journey ended with the death of a 13-year-old student, while the other children and driver survived with minor injuries.

Sanger ISD said it would continue working with law enforcement and emergency personnel and provide additional information to families when appropriate.

As the investigation continues, the Sanger community is left mourning Julian Amador, a 13-year-old student whose life was cut short in a devastating school-bus crash.
