“WE JUST WANT TO KNOW HE’S SAFE” — BRITISH MAN, 20, VANISHES IN THAILAND AFTER MISSING FLIGHT HOME AS FAMILY ISSUES URGENT APPEAL

Bailey Singh, from Huddersfield, has not been heard from since he was reportedly seen at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport on October 5. With his phone switched off, his mother and sister are desperately seeking information about his whereabouts.

BANGKOK, THAILAND — A family in the UK is appealing for help locating 20-year-old Bailey Singh after he reportedly missed his scheduled flight home from Thailand and disappeared without further contact.

Bailey, who is from Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, was last reported seen at Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok on October 5, 2026. He had been travelling alone and had spent around a week in Thailand before he was due to return to the UK.

According to reports, Bailey may have messaged a friend while at the airport shortly before he vanished. Since then, his family says they have been unable to reach him and his phone has been switched off.

The lack of contact has caused growing concern among his loved ones, who say it is unusual for him to be unreachable for such a prolonged period. His whereabouts remain unconfirmed.

“WE ARE VERY WORRIED AND CONCERNED”

Bailey’s mother, Lisa Ely, has appealed publicly for information, explaining that she has been unable to contact her son.

In a message shared online, she said his phone and location services were unavailable, which she described as out of character for him.

His sister, Chardonnay Ely, has also urged anyone who may have seen Bailey to come forward.

“We just want to make sure he is safe,” she said, reflecting the family’s central concern as they continue trying to establish what happened after his last reported sighting.

Relatives have shared appeals on social media and in Thailand-focused community groups in the hope of reaching people who may have encountered him. \An image collage containing 2 images, Image 1 shows An image collage containing 1 images, Image 1 shows Bailey Singh, a 20-year-old missing Brit with curly brown hair and a goatee, wearing a white t-shirt and grey jacket, Image 2 shows Brit, 20, vanishes 5,000 miles away from home after missing flight back to UK with family left terrified

FAMILY FEARS HE MAY HAVE TRAVELLED TO PATTAYA

Chardonnay has said the family suspects Bailey may have travelled to Pattaya, a coastal city southeast of Bangkok that attracts international visitors and expatriates.

However, this remains an unconfirmed possibility. No verified sighting has established that Bailey reached Pattaya, and his movements after October 5 have not been publicly confirmed.

His family has contacted the British Embassy in Thailand and sought help from police. A post shared by a family friend said the embassy could not confirm whether he had been injured or detained. That information has not established what happened to him, and the circumstances of his disappearance remain unclear.

Bailey’s family has released a physical description and details of two distinctive tattoos to help people recognise him.

He is described as approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall, with curly brown hair, dark brown eyes and a goatee beard.

When he was last reported seen, he was wearing a blue top, blue tracksuit bottoms and grey trainers.

His tattoos include:

  • A jigsaw-puzzle design on the inside of his left arm.
  • The word “eleven” behind his left ear.

Anyone who believes they may have seen Bailey is being asked to share reliable information with his family or the relevant authorities.

QUESTIONS REMAIN OVER HIS LAST KNOWN MOVEMENTS

At present, the available reports do not explain why Bailey missed his flight or what happened after his reported contact with a friend at the airport.

There has been no publicly confirmed account establishing whether he left the airport, travelled elsewhere in Thailand or departed the country by another route. Reports have also not confirmed whether airport CCTV or immigration records have provided information about his movements.

His family is continuing to seek information, while the British charity Missing People has listed an appeal relating to his disappearance under reference 26-006907, according to Thai Examiner.

Until verified information becomes available, the circumstances surrounding Bailey’s disappearance remain unknown.

FAMILY PLEADS FOR ANY INFORMATION

For Bailey’s mother, sister and other relatives, the uncertainty has been deeply distressing. They are asking people in Bangkok, Pattaya and elsewhere in Thailand to look carefully at his photograph and contact them if they have relevant information.

Even a small detail about where he was seen after October 5 could help establish his movements.

Bailey was due to return home to the UK, but his family has received no confirmed information about his whereabouts since his reported appearance at Bangkok airport.

Their message remains simple: they want to find him and know that he is safe.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the family through its public appeal or Missing People, quoting reference 26-006907.
