ENTIRE FAMILY WIPED OUT IN FLORIDA PLANE CRASH: TWO YOUNG CHILDREN, AGED JUST 4 AND 2, AMONG NINE VICTIMS
A family of four was among the nine people killed when a private jet crashed into a Florida neighborhood, turning what was supposed to be a family trip to the Bahamas into an unimaginable tragedy.
Technology entrepreneur Adam Robinson, 45, was traveling with his wife, Helen Sharp, 40, and their two young children, Emma, 4, and Charlie, just 2, when the Learjet 60 went down in Palm Beach County on Sunday, November 1, 2026.
The family had departed from Austin, Texas, and was heading to North Eleuthera in the Bahamas. They never reached their destination.
All nine people aboard the aircraft lost their lives.
A FAMILY’S TRIP THAT NEVER REACHED ITS DESTINATION
Adam Robinson was a technology entrepreneur and the founder of several businesses. He was also remembered by those close to him as a devoted husband and father.
His wife, Helen Sharp, was an entrepreneur, ceramic artist and former public relations business owner.
Together, they were raising Emma and Charlie, whose young lives were cut tragically short.
In a statement shared by representatives of the families, loved ones remembered Adam and Helen as devoted parents, describing their children as the light of their lives.
The statement confirmed that all four family members were among those lost in the November 1 crash.
For relatives and friends, the loss means saying goodbye not only to a couple who had built a life together, but also to two little children who had barely begun theirs.
THE NANNY AND FAMILY FRIENDS WERE ALSO ON BOARD
The Robinson family was not traveling alone.
Anita Maria Apellido Cetina, who helped care for the children, was also aboard the aircraft.
Two family friends, Rachael Reed and Charmi Fehr, were among the passengers as well.
The aircraft was carrying two crew members: 20-year-old co-pilot Nathalia Gadelha Filgueiras and 55-year-old captain Jeff Gregory.
None of the nine people aboard survived.
Each had their own family, friendships and story — lives that ended in the same devastating incident.
WHAT HAPPENED BEFORE THE CRASH?
The Learjet 60 crashed in the Greenacres area of Palm Beach County at approximately 12:50 p.m. local time.
According to information released during the investigation, the crew had reported icing conditions, moderate turbulence and precipitation while flying at approximately 35,000 feet.
The pilots requested permission to climb to a higher altitude. Shortly afterward, the aircraft began descending rapidly.
Air traffic control recordings captured the crew declaring an emergency and reporting an alarming rate of descent.
The jet eventually crashed into a residential area, leaving a fireball and a significant debris field.
The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the disaster. Investigators have indicated that parts of the aircraft may have broken apart before impact, but the exact cause has not been determined.
NINE PEOPLE, NINE LIVES, AND FAMILIES LEFT BEHIND
The tragedy has left multiple families grieving the loss of their loved ones.
For the Robinson family, the heartbreak is especially difficult to comprehend. Adam and Helen were traveling with their two children, expecting to arrive in the Bahamas together.
Instead, all four members of their family were lost.
The families of the victims have expressed gratitude to first responders and investigators while asking for privacy as they navigate the devastating loss.
As authorities continue examining the wreckage and the aircraft’s final moments, the people aboard should be remembered for more than the circumstances of their deaths.
They were parents, children, friends, colleagues and loved ones.
May Adam, Helen, Emma, Charlie, Anita, Rachael, Charmi, Nathalia and Jeff rest in peace. Our thoughts are with everyone mourning them.
