TWO-MONTH-OLD BABY GIRL BORN WITH THREE HANDS IS WORSHIPPED AS A GOD

A two-month old baby is being worshipped as a god in India because she has three hands.

The infant, born on November 2 in Bilaspur district, Chhattisgarh, arrived healthy in every way — except for a small additional arm and hand growing from the right side of her chest.

For her mother, Radhika Sahu, the moment was filled with mixed emotions.

“She is my child, my everything,” Radhika shared softly. “When I first saw her, I didn’t feel fear… I just wanted to hold her and protect her.”

Concerned about her baby’s condition, Radhika brought her to a local health center for a check-up. Doctors confirmed that the extra limb was not currently causing harm to the child’s health.

Despite this, the unusual condition quickly made the baby a topic of conversation throughout the village.

Some locals, influenced by cultural beliefs, began to see the child as special. In certain traditions, babies born with extra limbs are sometimes viewed as symbolic or extraordinary, inspired by depictions of Hindu deities with multiple arms representing strength and divine power.

“We don’t see anything divine,” a family member shared. “We just see our daughter, and we want her to live a normal, happy life.”

Medical experts have also weighed in. Dr. B.P. Singh, head of the Chhattisgarh Institute of Medical Science, has recommended a surgical procedure to remove the extra limb. According to doctors, the operation would help ensure the child’s comfort and allow her to grow up without complications.

The family is now focused on giving their daughter the best possible future.

“We are grateful she is healthy,” her mother said. “All we want is for her to grow, play, and smile like any other child.”
