Suspect in Warner Robins High School shooting identified; bail denied.

14-Year-Old Student Accused of Shooting Classmate at Georgia High School

A 14-year-old ninth-grade student has been arrested after allegedly shooting another student in the leg following a fight at a Georgia high school.

The suspect was identified as Denzelle Willis Jr. Authorities said the shooting occurred after an argument escalated into a physical altercation inside a school restroom.

Another student was reportedly shot in the leg and transported to a hospital. His injuries were described as non-life-threatening.

Following the shooting, Willis allegedly fled the school. Authorities arrested him approximately one hour later.

At his initial court appearance on August 13, a judge denied bond and ordered Willis to remain in custody.

Prosecutors said Willis faces multiple charges, including aggravated assault with a firearm. The case has since been transferred to Superior Court, where prosecutors expect him to be tried as an adult.

The incident has shaken the school community, raising renewed concerns about weapons and violence on school campuses. Investigators are continuing to examine the circumstances leading up to the confrontation and how the firearm came into the teenager’s possession.

Because Willis is a minor facing adult prosecution, the case could carry significant legal consequences if he is ultimately convicted.

The allegations against Willis have not been proven in court, and he is presumed innocent unless found guilty through the legal process.

Authorities and prosecutors are expected to provide additional information as the case moves forward.
