“SOMETIMES, IT IS NOT AN ACCIDENT”: LINEMAN RYNE COOPER LEAVES BEHIND A WIFE AND TWO YOUNG SONS

It is with heavy hearts, we mourn the tragic loss of our Brother Ryne Cooper, who lost his life in a work-related accident on August 11, 2026. Ryne was more than aTEXAS — A Texas electrical lineman known to loved ones as “Niko” has died after a workplace accident, leaving behind his wife and two young sons.

Ryne Cooper was working as a high-voltage lineman on August 11 during power-restoration work when the fatal incident occurred. A community tribute says Cooper had spent years working in the electrical industry and was an IBEW member.

For his family, however, he was much more than a lineman.

He was a husband, a father and someone his loved ones described as the heart of the family.

A HUSBAND AND FATHER GONE TOO SOON

Cooper leaves behind his wife, Macy Rae, and their two young sons, Reed and Rory.

His death has left the family facing a future that changed in a matter of moments.

His sister-in-law, Kelsie, remembered him as a devoted husband and father and described him as one of her favorite people in the world.

Those closest to Cooper say his greatest legacy will not be the work he performed on power lines, but the life he built with his family.

Ryne Cooper went to work on August 11 doing the job he had worked so hard for. He never made it home. Ryne tragically lost his life while working as a lineman,THE DANGER BEHIND THE JOB

Electrical line work is among the most hazardous occupations in the country, requiring workers to operate around energized equipment, high-voltage systems and unpredictable conditions during emergency restoration.

Cooper was carrying out that work when the accident occurred.

For the people who knew him, the tragedy is a painful reminder that workers can leave home expecting to return to their families — and sometimes never make it back.

A COMMUNITY RALLYING AROUND HIS FAMILY

Since Cooper’s death, friends, relatives and coworkers have been coming together to support Macy Rae, Reed and Rory.

Messages remembering Cooper have described him as hardworking, loving and deeply devoted to the people closest to him.

The family is now facing the enormous emotional and financial burden that follows the sudden loss of a husband and father.

REMEMBERING RYNE

There will be no easy way to explain Cooper’s absence to the two young boys who will grow up without their father.

But the people who loved him are determined that Reed and Rory will know exactly who their dad was — a man who worked hard, loved his family and made an impact on the people around him.

Ryne Cooper was more than a lineman. He was Macy Rae’s husband, Reed and Rory’s father, and a deeply loved member of his family and community.

As those who knew him mourn, their message is simple:

Rest easy, Ryne. Your family will carry your memory forward.
