A grandmother from NYC was found dead in a drainage ditch in Las Vegas after security cameras captured the final moments of her life.

Missing Manhattan Grandmother Alisa Goods Found Dead Near Las Vegas Airport

Alisa Goods, 63, a Manhattan resident, mother of five, and grandmother of five, was found dead in Las Vegas nearly two weeks after she disappeared while visiting a friend.

Goods went missing on August 8, 2026. Her body was discovered on August 20 in a drainage ditch near Harry Reid International Airport.

Police said security camera footage from the day she disappeared showed Goods falling down an embankment. She appeared to attempt to get back up before falling or collapsing again. Authorities said no further movement was recorded after that point.

The official cause and manner of death have not yet been released, and police have not classified the case as a homicide at this time.

Goods’ family also reported receiving suspicious text messages from her phone after she disappeared. The messages reportedly requested money, gas money, and Bitcoin. Investigators suspect the messages may have involved phone number spoofing, rather than necessarily being sent by Goods herself.

Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding her death and are awaiting additional findings before determining exactly what happened.
