honored Christopher’s memory with tributes
Christopher Aaron Nicks, the only sibling of Stevie Nicks, has died following a private cancer journey. He was 72.
Christopher, the 78-year-old Fleetwood Mac frontwoman’s younger brother, died on Friday, Sept. 4, his daughter Nixi Parkinson Nicks announced on Instagram. He died over two years after he was diagnosed with cancer, Nixi said without disclosing the type of cancer.
“Second star to the right, and straight on till morning,” Nixi wrote alongside a photo of herself holding her late father’s hand. “I love you, daddy. Rest easy. 🕊️.”

In a since-expired Instagram Stories post, Nixi shared more details about her father’s death. (Christopher shared Nixi with his ex-wife, Lori Perry-Nicks, who previously worked for Stevie as a backup singer.)
“It is with a broken heart that I announce the passing of my father, Christopher Aaron Nicks, early this morning, surrounded by family,” she wrote in the post, according to Parade.

“Some of you may know that he has spent the last 2.5 years battling a cancer diagnosis, and to some this may come as a shock,” she continued, adding, “If this is news to you, please know it was because he never wanted people to worry about him that he kept this to himself.”
Nixi continued, “I know that he has left his mark on so many people, and this will leave many more than his immediate family with a piece of them missing. I know I speak for my dad when I say that his friends, his lost boys, meant the world to him.”
