Nebraska Couple Found Dead in Apparent Murder-Suicide as Community Mourns

A Nebraska community is mourning the deaths of a married couple who were found suffering from gunshot wounds at their rural home north of Osmond, Pierce County.

Police were called to the residence at approximately 7:09 a.m. on September 2, 2026, following a report of two deaths.

The victims were identified as Ashley Moes, 34, and her husband, Jordan Moes, 37.

According to a preliminary investigation, authorities believe Ashley died from a gunshot wound, while Jordan died from what investigators believe was a self-inflicted gunshot wound. As a result, the incident is being investigated as an apparent murder-suicide.

High School Sweethearts and Parents of Three

Ashley and Jordan were reportedly high school sweethearts who married in 2013 and had three children together.

Local sources said the children were unharmed in the incident.

Ashley was a nurse and mother of three, while Jordan worked as a local farmer. Their deaths have left friends, relatives and members of the Osmond community grieving the loss of a family deeply connected to the area.
