FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR MUM AND HER TWO SONS KILLED IN HORROR PLANE CRASH — DAD FIGHTS FOR HIS LIFE

A mother who dedicated her life to aviation and two of her young sons are dead after a small plane crashed and burst into flames in California.

Danna Eady, 41, was piloting the aircraft when it went down near Sierra Sky Park Airport in Fresno on September 5.

Her two sons, Pavel, 10, and Remus, 13, also died in the devastating crash.

Their father, Craig Eady, survived the impact but suffered severe injuries and burns. He was initially the only surviving member of the family aboard the aircraft. He later died from his injuries, turning the tragedy into the loss of an entire family of four.

A MOTHER WHO TAUGHT OTHERS TO FLY

Danna was more than a pilot.

She was a certified flight instructor at Reedley College, where she helped train students pursuing careers in aviation.

Students and fellow pilots have remembered her as a dedicated instructor, mentor and advocate who was passionate about flying.

She had been piloting the Grumman American AA-5 when the aircraft crashed on a bluff above the San Joaquin River.

The plane caught fire after the crash, sending emergency crews rushing to the scene.

TWO BOYS LOST

Pavel and Remus died in the crash.

Their deaths have left classmates, friends and the aviation community mourning a family that had been at the center of their lives.

Danna also leaves behind two older children, Lucien, 17, and Felicity, 18, who were not aboard the aircraft.

Then came another devastating development.

Craig, who had initially survived, later died from the serious injuries he suffered in the crash.

The family tragedy was now complete.

THE INVESTIGATION

The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating what caused the aircraft to crash.

At this stage, authorities have not publicly established a definitive cause.

For the people who knew Danna, however, the investigation cannot change what has already been lost.

A flight instructor.

A mother.

Two young boys.

And, ultimately, a father who fought to survive before succumbing to his injuries.

The family is now being remembered not for the crash alone, but for the lives they lived before that terrible afternoon.

Danna spent her life helping others learn to fly. Now an entire community is mourning the family she leaves behind.
