Andy “The Butcher” Williams Hit His Head on Ring Post Before Death, 911 Audio Reveals

Andy “The Butcher” Williams Dies at 48 After Medical Emergency During Pennsylvania Wrestling Match
Andy “The Butcher” Williams, a 48-year-old professional wrestler and former guitarist for Every Time I Die, has died following a medical emergency at a wrestling event in Millvale, Pennsylvania, on September 5, 2026.
According to 911 dispatch audio obtained by TMZ, emergency dispatchers were told that a male wrestler had “hit his head on a ringpost” during the event.

However, it has not been confirmed that the reported head impact directly caused Williams’ death.
The Medical Examiner said Williams died following a medical crisis, while event organizers indicated that the symptoms appeared consistent with a possible cardiac event. The official cause of death remains pending the results of an autopsy.
On-site medical personnel immediately responded after Williams became unwell. CPR was administered and an automated external defibrillator (AED) was used in an effort to revive him before he was transported to a hospital.
Despite the emergency response and attempts to save his life, Williams was later pronounced dead.
Williams was known to fans both as a professional wrestler and as a musician. Before pursuing wrestling, he was a guitarist for the influential hardcore band Every Time I Die, contributing to the group’s legacy before later establishing himself in professional wrestling.

News of his death has prompted an outpouring of grief among fans and members of both the wrestling and music communities.
The circumstances surrounding his final moments remain under investigation, and authorities have not yet released a definitive explanation for what caused his death.
While initial reports have referenced a possible head injury and event organizers have described symptoms that appeared cardiac in nature, neither should be treated as the confirmed cause of death until the medical examiner completes the autopsy.
Williams’ death at 48 marks a devastating loss for those who followed his work across two very different worlds. Further details are expected once the official examination is completed.
