BRITISH MUM, 47, VANISHED AFTER THE SCHOOL RUN — FOUR MEN ALLEGEDLY DRAGGED HER FROM HER CAR IN BROAD DAYLIGHT

Nusrat Jiwa Osman disappeared in Blantyre, Malawi, after returning home from the school run. Days later, her family says they still have no idea where she is.

A British mother of two has disappeared in Malawi after she was allegedly taken from her car in broad daylight, leaving her family desperate for answers.

Nusrat Jiwa Osman, 47, from Leicester, was reportedly abducted in Blantyre on Friday, September 11, after completing the school run. Police and her family have been searching for her, but her whereabouts remain unknown.

SHE WAS TAKEN IN BROAD DAYLIGHT

According to reports, Nusrat had returned to her home in the Mount Pleasant area of Blantyre at around midday when several men allegedly approached her.

Her brother, Shobi Jiwa, told The Sun that the men allegedly dragged his sister from her vehicle before escaping in a grey Nissan Dualis.

Malawian reports identified the vehicle by registration number CA 6956. Police have appealed to the public for information that could help establish where the vehicle went and locate Nusrat.

The incident reportedly happened at around 12:30–12:45 p.m., meaning the disappearance took place in broad daylight.

“WE DON’T KNOW WHERE SHE IS”

Nusrat’s husband, Nazil Osman, has spoken publicly about his anguish.

He told local media:

“I don’t know where she is or how she is.”

He added that his wife works as an auditor and said he had no idea why she would have been targeted.

Her brother Shobi said the family had been left traumatised.

“My sister has been missing for five days with no trace or call,” he told The Sun.

He also made a direct appeal to the people responsible:

“She’s a mother of two. Please let her go.”

POLICE OFFER £12,600 REWARD

The Malawi Police Service has launched an investigation and offered a reward of around £12,600 for credible information that could help lead to Nusrat’s rescue and the prosecution of those responsible.

Police have also been sending appeals to members of the public seeking information about the case.

Authorities have urged people not to spread unverified information while the investigation continues.

At this stage, no motive has been publicly established, and reports say there has been no ransom demand or public claim of responsibility.

A BRITISH NATIONAL LIVING IN MALAWI

Nusrat is originally from Leicester and moved to Malawi after her husband established a business there.

She works as an auditor at Audit Consult Limited in Blantyre. Her employer has also appealed for information about her whereabouts.

Friends have described Nusrat as a devoted mother and loving wife and have urged people to share information that could help bring her home safely.

The case has also attracted international attention, with the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office confirming that it is aware of reports involving a British national and is in contact with local authorities.

 “WE JUST WANT PRAYERS”

As the search continues, Nusrat’s family says they are struggling to understand why she was taken.

Her brother told The Sun:

“We just want prayers.”

He appealed to anyone who may have seen something unusual around Mount Pleasant or who has information about the vehicle involved to come forward.

For now, the family is waiting for one thing — news that Nusrat is safe and can come home.
