A chilling testimony newly added to the prosecution’s case file in the Siders trial reveals that the horrific ongoing tragedy was almost exposed over a year earlier.

An Amazon delivery driver who regularly covered routes in Vinton County recently stepped forward to law enforcement with a crucial account. He recalled that around mid-2025, while dropping off a large package at the dilapidated Siders residence, he heard distinct, repeated banging and violent scratching sounds emanating from behind a sealed interior wall.

When the driver inquired about the strange noises, the father, Gary Jr., confronted him with a menacing posture, snatched the package, and cold-bloodedly claimed he was merely training stray dogs he had locked away. Unwilling to intrude further into a customer’s private residence, the driver chose not to press the issue and left the premises.

Now aware that those desperate, muffled knocking sounds were actually 16 trapped children making a frantic bid for freedom, the driver broke down in tears at the police station, overcome with grief and regret. The cold, calculated deception employed by the perpetrators kept the entire community oblivious to the horrors occurring right in front of them, allowing the nightmare inside the house to persist unchecked for far too long.
