💙 AFTER MONTHS OF SILENCE, XAVIER TAYLOR’S FAMILY FINALLY HAS REASONS TO KEEP HOPING

For nearly four months, the Taylor family has waited.

Waited beside their son.

Waited through uncertainty.

And waited for the day 12-year-old Xavier Taylor might finally wake up.

Now, his family says there are small changes — the kind that may seem ordinary to someone else, but mean everything to the people who have been beside Xavier every day.

Xavier was critically injured on May 26, just after warming up before a championship baseball game in Maple Shade, New Jersey.

A baseball struck him in the neck.

He suffered a cardiac arrest and was rushed to Cooper University Hospital.

Since then, his family has remained by his side.

And nearly four months later, Xavier is still fighting.

According to his father, Gregory Taylor, Xavier has gained weight.

He has also been moved from the hospital to a short-term care facility, although he remains on a ventilator.

Then came another encouraging update.

Gregory said Xavier is now regulating his own body temperature.

He is no longer receiving regular medication apart from necessary nutrition and nutrients.

And the family says he has been taken off additional electrolyte fluids after recent laboratory results came back very well.

Gregory described the results simply:

“Beautiful.”

For a family living through something this difficult, those details matter.

They don’t mean Xavier has suddenly awakened.

They don’t mean doctors have announced a dramatic neurological recovery.

And there is still no confirmed report that Xavier reacted at a specific time such as 11:30 p.m.

But they are real updates from his family — and they are the reason hope remains alive.

Gregory says that when the family looks at his son now, they see Xavier, not the frail child they saw during the earliest weeks of his injury.

That distinction means everything to them.

Meanwhile, the community around Xavier continues to stand behind him.

On September 19, supporters gathered at Karcher Field in Maple Shade for a Night of Prayer & Praise.

People came together not because they had been promised an outcome, but because they wanted Xavier’s family to know they were not alone.

The support has also included blue lights, signs and Xavier’s No. 6 throughout the community.

More than $100,000 has been raised to support the family.

And Gregory continues to imagine the day his son wakes up.

He believes one of Xavier’s first questions might be:

“What did I miss?”

His father’s answer would be simple.

They would show him.

They would show him the people who prayed.

The people who wore his number.

The people who kept his name alive.

And the community that refused to stop believing in him.

For nearly four months, Xavier has been unable to tell his own story.

So the people around him continue to tell it for him.

Not with rumors.

Not with unconfirmed medical claims.

But with the small, real signs his family says they are seeing every day.
