FATHER OF 3-YEAR-OLD NOAH WOODS SHARES HEARTBREAKING TRIBUTE AFTER SON’S BODY IS FOUND

The father of three-year-old Noah Woods has shared a heartbreaking tribute to his son after the toddler’s body was found in a pond following a massive search in Suffolk, England.

Noah disappeared on the afternoon of September 15, after becoming separated from a relative during a visit to a playground in Merriam Close in Brantham.

A huge search operation was launched, involving police officers, emergency services, specialist search teams and around 1,300 members of the public who came from the local area and beyond to help look for the missing child.

The search came to a devastating end the following day when Metropolitan Police dive teams recovered the body of a child from Decoy Pond.

Suffolk Police later formally identified the child as Noah Woods, aged three. Police said his death was not being treated as suspicious, although a number of enquiries remained ongoing for the coroner.

‘WE ARE ALL ABSOLUTELY HEARTBROKEN’

After the discovery, Noah’s father, Rhys Woods, shared an emotional statement with the community.

“There are no words to describe the pain of this loss, we are all absolutely heartbroken,” he wrote.

He described Noah as the “sweetest and most innocent little boy”, saying his son had “nothing but love to give” and that the family would miss him deeply.

Rhys also spoke about the hope the family had held onto throughout the search.

He said they had kept telling themselves that Noah might simply be hiding somewhere nearby and that someone would find him and bring him home safely.

Instead, the family received the news they had feared most.

The grieving father thanked the emergency services and the hundreds of strangers who joined the search, saying the compassion shown to his family had brought them comfort and strength during “the darkest time” of their lives.

A CHILD WHO BROUGHT JOY TO HIS FAMILY

Noah’s family later asked that he be remembered not simply for the tragic circumstances of his death, but as the happy little boy he was.

In a statement shared after the opening of his inquest, the family described Noah as a happy, cheeky and playful three-year-old who loved to laugh and brought joy wherever he went.

They said he was at the center of a loving family and shared an especially close bond with his baby brother.

An inquest heard that Noah had been undergoing an assessment for autism, had mild hearing loss and was speech delayed. He had not received an autism diagnosis.

CCTV footage showed Noah playing in the under-fives area shortly before he disappeared. Investigators told the inquest that he subsequently left through a gap in the playground fence and continued toward the area around Decoy Pond.

A SEARCH THAT BROUGHT A COMMUNITY TOGETHER

The disappearance triggered an extraordinary response from the community.

Around 1,300 people joined the search, alongside police, coastguard teams, firefighters, ambulance crews, search-and-rescue volunteers and specialist divers.

People searched streets, paths and surrounding areas as the desperate effort to find Noah continued through the day and night.

After his death was confirmed, tributes began appearing around the village, with residents leaving flowers, balloons, toys and other items in memory of the little boy.

Noah’s father said the response showed how deeply his son had touched people far beyond his own family.

“It seems he has made an impact across the whole nation,” Rhys wrote, thanking those who had tried to bring Noah home.

His final message was simple and devastating:

“Noah, you will be loved forever, you will never be forgotten and we miss you so so much.”

The inquest into Noah’s death has been opened and adjourned, while further investigations continue. His family has asked for privacy as they mourn their son.
