“SHE WAS LOVED WITHOUT LIMIT” — VIVIAN SAVELLA REMEMBERED AS FAMILY MOURNS 4-YEAR-OLD AFTER TRAGIC CUSTODY DISPUTE

Four-year-old Vivian Savella has been remembered as a deeply loved little girl after a devastating incident in Houston left her family facing an unimaginable loss.

Vivian died at a home in west Houston on September 29, shortly after a family court hearing involving her parents.

Her mother, Cibelle Savella, 35, was also critically injured and later died in hospital, according to Houston police.

Now, Vivian’s family has shared photographs of the little girl and released an emotional statement describing her as someone who was “loved without limit” by her father and everyone whose life she touched.

Vivian was just four years old.

According to her family, she was deeply loved by her father, Aaron Savella, and by relatives and others who knew her.

The family’s statement said there were “no words for what has been taken from us” as they mourned the little girl.

The photographs released through the family’s attorney show Vivian smiling and enjoying ordinary moments of childhood — images that have now become precious memories for those who loved her.

THE CUSTODY HEARING THAT MORNING

The tragedy came on the same day that Vivian’s parents were involved in a custody proceeding.

According to statements from the family and reporting from local media, a judge placed Vivian in her father’s primary care.

Her father was reportedly expected to take her home that evening.

However, the court order did not specify exactly how the immediate transfer was supposed to take place, according to Aaron’s attorney.

The court had also required the mother’s contact with Vivian to be continuously supervised.

The attorney said the agency responsible for supervising those visits had not yet been notified about the newly issued order.

The circumstances surrounding the custody arrangements are now receiving considerable attention as authorities continue examining what happened.

Houston Police Department officers responded to the west Houston residence at approximately 5:45 p.m. after receiving a report of a shooting.

Officers went to the third floor of the home, where they found Vivian and her mother.

Vivian was pronounced dead at the scene.

Her mother was transported to hospital in critical condition. Police later confirmed that she died the following day.

Police have described the incident as an apparent murder-suicide.

Because Cibelle also died, no criminal prosecution against her is possible.

“SHE NEVER DID”

Perhaps the most heartbreaking line in the family’s statement came when they described what should have happened that evening.

“She was supposed to come home to him that evening. She never did.”

The family said Aaron had trusted the legal process and followed the court’s instructions while attempting to protect his daughter.

They also asked people to remember Vivian not simply because of the tragedy surrounding her death, but because of the life she had lived and the people who loved her.
