A THREE-MONTH-OLD’S TRAGIC SURVIVAL: BABY MOHAMMAD’S STORY

At just three months old, baby Mohammad has already endured a tragic ordeal that no child should ever have to face. While being fed by his mother, the infant was caught in a devastating airstrike that tragically took his mother’s life in an instant. Mohammad survived the strike, but he suffered critical, life-threatening injuries across his fragile body and was rushed to the hospital for emergency medical intervention.

Medical teams worked tirelessly around the clock to save the young infant’s life. Despite their desperate efforts to preserve his limbs, the severe extent of the trauma to his left leg made a life-saving below-the-knee amputation medically necessary. In addition to the loss of his lower leg, baby Mohammad suffered extensive, deep burns across his body and severe structural damage to his left hand.

While doctors managed to stabilize his immediate condition, Mohammad’s fight for recovery is only beginning. At an age when infants are meant to feel safe in their parents’ arms, this three-month-old baby has lost his mother and faces a difficult road ahead filled with complex medical treatments, rehabilitation, and long-term recovery efforts. His heartbreaking story serves as a stark reminder of the devastating impact of war on the most innocent and vulnerable lives.
