“OUR BEAUTIFUL HANNAH” — FAMILY REMEMBERS ROYAL FAMILY GP AS HER HUSBAND FACES MURDER CHARGE

Dr Hannah Cain was remembered as a “kind, generous and loving” woman whose dedication to her patients meant everything to her family. As her husband, Mark Cain, faces a murder charge, those closest to her are grieving a devastating loss.

The family of Dr Hannah Cain is mourning a woman they lovingly called “our beautiful Hannah” after the 45-year-old GP was found dead at her home in Dersingham, Norfolk, on October 4, 2026.

Known professionally to her patients as Dr Hannah Terry, she was remembered not only for her medical work, but also as a beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend.

Her death has deeply affected those who knew her, including colleagues and patients who valued the care she provided throughout her career.

The case has also drawn public attention because Hannah reportedly served among the doctors available to care for members of the Royal Family when they stayed at the nearby Sandringham estate. But for her family, the loss is profoundly personal.

In a tribute released through Norfolk Constabulary, Hannah’s family shared the heartbreak they are experiencing.

“We are devastated by the loss of our beautiful Hannah.”

They described her as “kind, generous and loving” and said they were incredibly proud of the woman she was and the care she gave to her patients.

To those who knew her professionally as Dr Terry, she was a doctor who took her responsibilities seriously. To her loved ones, she was much more than her career — she was an important part of a family whose lives have now been changed forever.

The family also asked for privacy as they navigate their grief.

Hannah worked at Grimston Medical Centre near King’s Lynn and had more than 15 years of experience as a qualified doctor, according to reports about her professional background.

She also ran a cosmetics business, Norfolk Sky Aesthetics, alongside her work as a GP.

Reports said she was part of a rota of doctors available to care for members of the Royal Family during their stays at Sandringham. The connection brought additional attention to the case, but those who knew Hannah have emphasised her kindness and dedication to the people who relied on her.

Following her death, colleagues and members of the local community also shared tributes to her character and the care she had provided.

HER HUSBAND APPEARS IN COURT

Hannah’s husband, Mark Cain, 45, has been charged with her murder.

He appeared at King’s Lynn Crown Court on October 8 and was remanded in custody until a plea hearing scheduled for December 3, 2026, at Norwich Crown Court, according to Norfolk Constabulary.

Earlier court proceedings heard that Hannah had been found unresponsive in an upstairs bedroom. Police have said the investigation remains ongoing.

The charge is an allegation, not a finding of guilt. Mark Cain is entitled to a fair trial, and the case must be determined through the court process.

A FAMILY ASKING FOR PRIVACY

As the investigation continues, Hannah’s family is facing the difficult task of grieving while her death remains the subject of court proceedings.

Their tribute brought the focus back to the person at the heart of the story: a woman remembered by those closest to her for her generosity, her love and the care she gave to others.

Behind the headlines and legal developments is a family experiencing an enormous loss. Their request for privacy is a reminder that public attention can never fully capture what those closest to a person are going through.

REMEMBERING HANNAH BEYOND THE HEADLINES

Hannah’s life was defined by more than the circumstances surrounding her death. She was a doctor who cared for her patients and a loved one whose presence mattered deeply to her family and friends.

As the legal process moves forward, her family’s words remain a tribute to the woman they knew and loved.

“Our beautiful Hannah” is how they will remember her — not simply as the subject of a tragic news story, but as a cherished mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend whose loss has left a lasting void.

Please keep Hannah’s family, colleagues and loved ones in your thoughts, and respect their request for privacy during this difficult time.
