Authorities in Rockdale County, Georgia, are asking the public for help identifying a young boy whose skeletal remains were discovered in a wooded area in November 2025.

The Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office said the remains were found on Nov. 14, 2025, near the intersection of Honey Creek Road and Tucker Mill Road. Subsequent DNA testing confirmed that the remains belonged to a male child of Sub-Saharan ancestry who was believed to have been between 6 and 7 years old.

At the time the remains were discovered, the boy was wearing a long-sleeved shirt and boys’ shorts. Despite the DNA testing, investigators have not yet been able to determine his identity or establish the cause of his death.

To help generate new leads, a forensic artist with the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children created facial approximation images showing what the child may have looked like. Authorities hope the images and the details surrounding the discovery will help someone recognize the boy and provide information that could finally identify him.

Investigators have not publicly disclosed how long the remains may have been in the wooded area before they were discovered. The investigation remains active, and authorities continue to seek information from anyone who may have knowledge about the child’s identity or circumstances surrounding his death.
