The shocking claim comes as investigators probe the death of 39-year-old Daniela Aichinger in Austria — in a case prosecutors have compared to the Gisèle Pelicot scandal.
A chilling new detail has emerged in the investigation into the death of Daniela Aichinger, a 39-year-old Austrian woman whose case has been compared by prosecutors to the notorious Gisèle Pelicot scandal.
Her husband, Robert Aichinger, 51, is accused of drugging Daniela and allowing other men to sexually abuse her while she was allegedly unable to consent.
Now, his own sister has reportedly told investigators that he once boasted about how much money the arrangement was bringing in.
“€500 PER ENCOUNTER”
According to reports cited by Austrian media, Aichinger’s sister told police that her brother showed her suggestive photographs of Daniela on his phone.
She allegedly said he told her that Daniela would bring in around €500 for each encounter.
The sister also reportedly described seeing “strange men” repeatedly coming and going from the couple’s home.
She said she could not say whether Daniela had willingly participated.
The allegations form part of an ongoing investigation and have not been proven in court.
THE NIGHT EVERYTHING CHANGED
Daniela was found lifeless on a waterbed at the couple’s home in Marchtrenk, Austria, on June 25.
Her teenage daughter reportedly discovered her.
Emergency responders found Aichinger intoxicated at the property, according to reports.
He initially allegedly told police that his wife had died during rough sex.
But investigators became suspicious after an autopsy reportedly revealed severe injuries that suggested something far more serious had occurred.
THE MESSAGES ON HIS PHONE
Police searching Aichinger’s phone allegedly discovered messages discussing Daniela and other men.
Investigators reportedly found that he had searched for ways to incapacitate a person shortly before Daniela’s death.
He is also alleged to have referred to Daniela as “dead meat.”
In messages reportedly exchanged with a neighbor, Aichinger allegedly discussed getting Daniela drunk and allowing the man to have sex with her again.
Another message allegedly acknowledged that Daniela was not participating willingly.
The neighbor has also been arrested and is accused of sexually abusing Daniela, including on the night she died.
Several other people are reportedly being investigated.
HIS EX-WIFE HAS ALSO COME FORWARD
The latest allegations come just one day after reports revealed claims from Aichinger’s former wife.
The unnamed 48-year-old woman allegedly told police that Aichinger became increasingly violent during their marriage.
She accused him of punching her in the face after she refused a request involving other couples.
She reportedly suffered a broken jaw and facial bruising.
She also alleged that he severely mistreated their family dog.
Those claims are separate from the investigation into Daniela’s death and have also not been proven in court.
WHY PEOPLE ARE CALLING IT “PELICOT 2.0”
The Austrian investigation has drawn comparisons with the case of Gisèle Pelicot, whose husband, Dominique Pelicot, was convicted in France after drugging her and arranging for numerous men to sexually abuse her while she was unconscious.
Gisèle waived her anonymity during the trial and became a global symbol for survivors of sexual violence.
Dominique Pelicot was convicted in December 2024 and sentenced to 20 years in prison. Other defendants were also convicted.
The Austrian case is separate, but the alleged pattern — a husband facilitating the abuse of his wife while she is unable to consent — has created an unsettling parallel.
THE QUESTIONS STILL UNANSWERED
Investigators are still trying to establish the full circumstances surrounding Daniela’s final days and determine how many people may have been involved.
For now, Robert Aichinger and the other suspects remain subject to the legal presumption of innocence.
But one question continues to haunt the investigation:
