BRIAN HICKERSON WAS DETAINED AFTER A CHAOTIC INCIDENT AT A SOUTH CAROLINA BAR — JUST WEEKS AFTER HAYDEN PANETTIERE’S DEATH.

Brian Hickerson, the on-and-off boyfriend of late actress Hayden Panettiere, was handcuffed by police following an alleged altercation at a South Carolina bar — and moments later, he was heard shouting about Panettiere’s death.

The incident happened Saturday night, September 12, at Wild Wing Cafe in Greenville.

Hickerson was detained at the scene but was not arrested or charged. His brother, Zach Hickerson, was arrested for disorderly conduct.

THE NIGHT QUICKLY SPIRALED

According to reports cited by People and other outlets, Brian and Zach had been drinking at the bar for several hours before an argument broke out.

Video from the incident reportedly shows Brian involved in a confrontation and throwing a bar stool.

Police were called to the restaurant at around 9:10 p.m.

Officers later found the brothers outside and detained Brian while the situation was brought under control.

Zach was described as highly intoxicated and was ultimately arrested on a disorderly-conduct charge.

Brian, however, was released without charges.

THEN HE STARTED TALKING ABOUT HAYDEN

While sitting on a curb in handcuffs, Brian was captured on video shouting about the Greenville Police Department and Panettiere’s death.

He accused police of leaking information connected to the actress’ death.

The moment immediately drew attention because Panettiere died only weeks earlier — and Hickerson was among the people present when she was found unresponsive.

However, Hickerson has not been named a suspect in Panettiere’s death.

Her official cause of death has not yet been determined, with toxicology results still pending.

HAYDEN’S DEATH REMAINS UNDER INVESTIGATION

Panettiere, best known for roles in Heroes and Nashville, died on August 16 at age 36.

Police found her unresponsive in a Greenville residence, and an autopsy reportedly found no signs of trauma.

Authorities are continuing to investigate, while Hickerson recently met with the Drug Enforcement Administration as part of the broader inquiry.

His attorney has urged people to respect the investigation and avoid speculation.

A TROUBLED HISTORY

Hickerson and Panettiere had a complicated relationship that included previous domestic-violence cases.

He pleaded no contest in 2021 to two felony counts involving injury to a partner and served jail time.

Despite their turbulent past, the pair had reportedly reconnected before Panettiere’s death.
