Doctors discovered a mass on Uriah’s brain.

And then came the devastating diagnosis:

Stage IV Large B-Cell Lymphoma.

Further testing revealed a 14-centimeter tumor on his left kidney, along with lesions affecting his right kidney and liver.

There was no time to prepare.

No time to understand how their healthy, active little boy suddenly became a cancer patient.

His family says everything happened so quickly.

Before they could even process the news, Uriah had a port placed and chemotherapy had already begun.

Then came months of battles most adults would struggle to endure.

The treatments became incredibly difficult.

The boy who once ran across fields and played sports needed a walker.

Then he needed a wheelchair.

And just when his family thought they had faced the hardest moments…

Pneumonia nearly took him away.

Uriah spent 32 days in the hospital.

Six of those days were spent in the ICU, fighting for every breath while on a ventilator after fluid rapidly filled his lungs.

For his family, those days were filled with fear, prayers, and hope.

But Uriah kept fighting.

Today, he is finally back home.

Surrounded by the people who love him most.

But his journey is not finished.

Recent scans brought both a reason to hope and another reason to pray.

The tumor on his kidney has shrunk from 14 centimeters to just 4.

They also discovered that Uriah’s left kidney is now functioning at only five percent.

Next month, surgeons are expected to remove the kidney and the remaining tumor.

Only after the biopsy will his family learn what comes next…

Or whether Uriah will have to face an even more aggressive round of chemotherapy.

But when asked what keeps this family moving forward, their first answer wasn’t medicine.
