FLORIDA WOMAN ACCUSED OF THROWING A BUCKET OF FECES AT HER NEIGHBOR AFTER SUSPECTING AN AFFAIR

Police say a dispute over a suspected relationship with her husband escalated into a bizarre confrontation inside a Miami-area mobile home.

A Florida woman has been arrested after allegedly forcing her way into a neighbor’s home and throwing a bucket containing human feces at her, according to authorities.

Yirsi Machado Rivera, 50, was arrested in connection with the bizarre Sept. 7 confrontation at the Royal Country Mobile Homes community in the Miami area. She faces charges of burglary and battery.

THE ACCUSATION THAT SPARKED THE CONFRONTATION

According to an arrest affidavit, Rivera and the alleged victim live in separate sections of a split trailer.

Authorities say Rivera went to her neighbor’s door shortly after 6 p.m. and began accusing the woman of having a sexual relationship with her husband.

The confrontation reportedly escalated when Rivera allegedly forced her way inside the neighbor’s residence and shoved her.

Then, according to the arrest report, Rivera allegedly threw a bucket containing human feces onto the woman before leaving.

RIVERA GAVE POLICE A DIFFERENT EXPLANATION

When questioned by detectives, Rivera denied entering the woman’s home and denied throwing the contents of the bucket at her.

Instead, according to the affidavit, she said she had been using the bucket because her toilet was broken and was simply trying to dispose of it.

Rivera also claimed that the two women had been arguing over the smell and said the neighbor had struck her over the head with a bat, causing a cut.

Authorities, however, noted that a witness told investigators Rivera had said she had defecated in the bucket specifically to throw it in the neighbor’s face.

The alleged affair itself has not been independently established.

JUDGE ORDERS HER HELD WITHOUT BOND

Rivera was booked on charges including burglary of an occupied dwelling and battery.

During a bond hearing, Miami-Dade County Judge Mindy Glazer acknowledged the unusual allegations and ordered Rivera held without bond.

The judge also ordered her to stay away from the alleged victim and appointed a public defender.

Rivera remains in custody at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, according to jail records cited by PEOPLE.

AN UNUSUAL CASE THAT QUICKLY DREW ATTENTION

What began as an apparent dispute between neighbors has now become a criminal case involving allegations that are as unusual as they are disturbing.

For now, the accusations remain just that — allegations. Rivera has denied the central claims against her, and she is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.

The investigation and court proceedings will determine what actually happened inside the Miami-area trailer that September evening.
