BRITISH MUM-OF-TWO, 47, VANISHED AFTER THE SCHOOL RUN — FAMILY LEFT HEARTBROKEN AFTER SHE WAS SNATCHED FROM HER CAR IN AFRICA

Nusrat Jiwa Osman had just returned home after completing the school run when four men allegedly dragged her from her car in broad daylight. Five days later, her family still has no idea where she is.

A desperate search is underway for a 47-year-old British mother of two who was reportedly abducted outside her home in Malawi.

Nusrat Jiwa Osman, originally from Leicester, was taken in the city of Blantyre after completing a school run, according to her family and local authorities.

Her loved ones say they have been left devastated and desperate for answers.

SNATCHED FROM HER CAR IN BROAD DAYLIGHT

The incident reportedly happened at around 12:45 p.m. after Nusrat arrived back at her home.

According to her brother, Shobi Jiwa, several men allegedly dragged her from her vehicle before fleeing in a grey Nissan Dualis.

Local reports said the suspects were armed.

Her family has described the incident as deeply traumatic.

Shobi told The Sun that his sister had been missing for five days without any trace or communication.

The family has also said they have received no ransom demand.

 “PLEASE LET HER GO”

Nusrat’s brother has made an emotional appeal for her safe return.

He described her as a humble, cheerful and outgoing person who was involved in charitable activities.

The family says they cannot understand why she was targeted.

Shobi appealed directly to those responsible, saying:

“She’s a mother of two. Please let her go.”

He also asked the public to pray for Nusrat as the family waits for news.

HER HUSBAND DOESN’T KNOW WHERE SHE IS

Nusrat moved to Malawi after her husband, Nazil Osman, established a business there.

She works as an auditor.

Her husband told local media that he did not know where his wife was or what condition she was in.

He also said he had no known issues with anyone.

Police have not established a motive for the reported abduction.

MAJOR SEARCH OPERATION UNDERWAY

Malawian authorities have launched a major investigation into Nusrat’s disappearance.

Police are appealing for information and have reportedly offered a reward of £12,600 for credible information that could help locate her.

Investigators have also been sending messages to members of the public in an effort to gather information about her whereabouts.

The UK’s Foreign Office has confirmed it is aware of reports that a British national was abducted in Malawi and said it is in contact with local authorities.

 FOUR SIMILAR CASES REPORTED

Nusrat’s disappearance has also raised concerns about a reported series of kidnappings in Malawi.

Her brother said the family had heard of four similar cases, although he said Nusrat’s case was reportedly the first involving a woman.

Malawian politician Atupele Muluzi described the increase in reported kidnappings as deeply disturbing and urged people with information to contact police.

 FIVE DAYS WITHOUT ANSWERS

A missing-person appeal described Nusrat as a loving wife and proud mother who was known for her ability to connect with people from all walks of life.

But for her family, the most painful part is the uncertainty.

Five days after she vanished, there had been no confirmed contact from Nusrat and no ransom demand reported.

Police continue to investigate her disappearance.
