AMBER ALERT ISSUED FOR FOUR MISSING CHILDREN AFTER THEY WERE LAST SEEN LEAVING LOS ANGELES HOME WITH THEIR MOTHER

An urgent search is underway in Los Angeles for four children between the ages of 1 and 9 who were last seen leaving their home with their biological mother.

The children were last seen at around 5:10 p.m. on Saturday, September 26, near the 6600 block of Reseda Boulevard in Los Angeles, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Authorities said their mother, 31-year-old Mehrangez Sangalieva, was prohibited by a court order from moving the children from their current address while an investigation was ongoing.

The California Highway Patrol subsequently activated an AMBER Alert on behalf of the LAPD as authorities worked to locate the children and their mother.

According to police, the four children were seen leaving their residence with Sangalieva near Reseda Boulevard and Kittridge Street.

The sighting occurred Saturday afternoon, but authorities did not publicly announce the AMBER Alert until the investigation had progressed and the California Highway Patrol activated the alert.

The search has since expanded across multiple Southern California counties, with authorities asking the public to watch for the children and the vehicle believed to be associated with the case.

Police have urged people not to attempt to intervene themselves if they believe they have located the family, but instead to contact authorities.
