NOAH WOODS’ FATHER RELEASES HEARTBREAKING STATEMENT AFTER THREE-YEAR-OLD’S BODY IS FOUND

The father of three-year-old Noah Woods has shared a heartbreaking statement after his son was found in a pond following an extensive search in Suffolk, England.

Noah was reported missing on the afternoon of September 15 after becoming separated from a relative near a playground in Merriam Close, Brantham. He was last seen running down an alleyway toward a housing estate and Decoy Pond.

After more than 24 hours of searching, specialist Metropolitan Police dive officers recovered the body of a child from Decoy Pond on September 16.

Suffolk Police formally confirmed the following day that the body was Noah’s. His death is not currently being treated as suspicious, although officers said several inquiries remain before a file is submitted to the coroner.

“WE ARE ALL ABSOLUTELY HEARTBROKEN”

In a message shared on social media, Noah’s father, Rhys Woods, described his son as the “sweetest and most innocent little boy.”

He said the family was devastated by the loss and would miss Noah deeply.

Rhys also thanked the thousands of people who came together to search for his son, saying the compassion shown to the family had provided comfort and strength during the darkest moment of their lives.

The family had continued hoping that Noah might be found safe, with his father later describing the discovery as the “most heartbreaking outcome.”

He ended his tribute by promising that Noah would be loved forever and never forgotten, saying it had been a privilege for him and Noah’s mother to be his parents during his short three years.

A COMMUNITY UNITED IN THE SEARCH

Noah’s disappearance prompted a huge response from the local community and emergency services.

Approximately 1,300 members of the public joined the search alongside Suffolk Police, HM Coastguard, Suffolk Fire & Rescue Service, the National Police Air Service, the Metropolitan Police Dive Team, Suffolk Lowland Search and Rescue and other agencies.

Noah was described as non-verbal and having partial hearing loss. Police had warned that he would not respond to his name, making the search particularly challenging.

Tributes have since been left near the playground where Noah was last seen, including teddy bears, toys and Bluey-themed items.

For the Woods family, however, the enormous search has ended in unimaginable grief.

Noah’s father thanked everyone who tried to bring his son home, while asking for privacy as the family begins to cope with the loss of their little boy.
