HEARTBREAKING UPDATE: NEW DETAILS EMERGE ABOUT LITTLE NOAH WOODS’ DEATH
The family of three-year-old Noah Woods is still waiting for answers after an inquest heard new details about the final moments before the little boy disappeared.
For weeks, Noah Woods’ family has been left facing the unbearable reality of losing their three-year-old son.
Now, new details have emerged about the moments before he vanished from a playground in Brantham, Suffolk — but the full medical circumstances surrounding his death remain unresolved.
Noah disappeared on September 15 after visiting a playground with a relative.
A huge search operation followed, involving police, emergency services and around 1,300 members of the public.
The following day, specialist divers recovered the body of a child from nearby Decoy Pond.
It was later formally identified as Noah.
THE FINAL MOMENTS BEFORE NOAH DISAPPEARED
An inquest into Noah’s death heard that CCTV captured him playing at the Merriam Close playground between approximately 2:13pm and 2:37pm.
Detective Chief Inspector Matthew Connick told the hearing that Noah then left the play area through a gap in the fence.
He continued toward a memorial garden and then through an open gate.
A relative was following closely behind him and tried to keep up as Noah ran towards the direction of Decoy Pond.
After around 200 metres, however, Noah disappeared from view.
Police were then called and the enormous search operation began.
HIS BODY WAS FOUND BENEATH THE WATER
The next day, Metropolitan Police divers searching Decoy Pond located Noah.
The inquest heard that his body was approximately five metres from the bank, within submerged tree roots, at an estimated depth of 1.8 metres.
Paramedics confirmed his death at 4:31pm.
His mother, Charlie Peck, later formally identified him at Ipswich Hospital.
For the hundreds of people who had spent hours searching for the missing child, the discovery brought devastating news.
THE AUTOPSY HAS NOT GIVEN THE FINAL ANSWER
Despite reports circulating online about Noah’s cause of death, the official inquest record has not yet established a final medical cause.
The post-mortem examination at Addenbrooke’s Hospital was recorded as requiring further investigation.
The inquest was opened and then adjourned to a later date.
Police have also said Noah’s death is not being treated as suspicious.
That means some of the biggest questions surrounding his death remain unanswered.
“THAT IS WHO HE WAS”
Noah’s family has asked people to remember him not through the circumstances of his death, but through the little boy he was.
They described him as a happy, cheeky and playful three-year-old who loved laughing, running around and playing chase.
He adored his baby brother and loved being close to the people around him.
His family said he “loved to be loved” and described the bond between Noah and his brother as incredibly special.
His mother Charlie also made an emotional request to other parents:
Hold your children a little tighter. Cherish every moment.
A FAMILY STILL WAITING FOR ANSWERS
The enormous search for Noah showed just how deeply his disappearance affected the community.
Around 1,300 members of the public joined emergency services in the search, while messages of support poured in from across the country.
Football fans and players also paid tribute to Noah after his death, reflecting the extraordinary public response to the tragedy.
But behind all of those tributes is one family trying to come to terms with the loss of their little boy.
Noah was only three.
His life was filled with laughter, affection and the simple happiness of childhood.
The circumstances that brought him to the pond are now part of the investigation.
And until the inquest reaches its final conclusion, the full medical cause of Noah Woods’ death remains unknown.
For his mother and father, however, the most important thing is already clear.
Noah was not just a missing-child headline.
He was their son.
Their little boy.
And the child they will carry in their hearts forever. 💔
