After years of sold-out performances, Peter Kay is bringing his marathon “Better Late Than Never” journey to an end — and he is using his final shows to raise money for causes close to millions of families.

For more than three years, Peter Kay has been doing what he does best — stepping onto a stage and making huge audiences laugh.

Now, the comedian is preparing for the final chapter of his current stand-up tour.

And instead of simply saying goodbye, he has chosen to leave his fans with something much bigger.

All profits from the final 2026 arena shows will be donated to 12 cancer charities.

THE FINAL CHAPTER

Kay’s “Better Late Than Never” tour began in December 2022 and grew into an enormous run of performances across the UK and Ireland.

The tour was extended several times because of demand, eventually continuing into 2026.

In November 2025, Kay announced the final batch of arena dates and confirmed that the profits would go to cancer charities.

The final show is scheduled for August 8, 2026, at Manchester’s AO Arena.

WHY HE CHOSE CANCER CHARITIES

The 12 charities receiving proceeds cover a wide range of cancer-related causes.

They include Children With Cancer UK, Teenage Cancer Trust, Kidney Cancer UK, Blood Cancer UK, Bowel Cancer UK, Prostate Cancer UK, DKMS UK, Ovarian Cancer Action, Pancreatic Cancer UK, Anthony Nolan, The Brain Tumour Charity and Breast Cancer UK.

Kay’s return to stand-up in 2022 was itself a major moment.

It came after a long absence from touring, following the cancellation of his planned 2018 comedy tour for family reasons.

His eventual return became a huge success, with additional dates repeatedly added.
