PRESLEY GERBER DIES AT 27 AS CINDY CRAWFORD’S FAMILY ASKS FOR PRIVACY

Presley Gerber, the model and only son of supermodel Cindy Crawford and businessman Rande Gerber, has died at the age of 27, with authorities investigating his death as a suspected overdose.

Gerber died on Sunday, September 20, 2026, at a rehabilitation facility in Santa Monica, California, according to records from the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner.

The Santa Monica Police Department confirmed that officers responded at approximately 9:35 a.m. to a report of a possible overdose at an address on Berkeley Street.

Officers found an adult man deceased at the location. The Medical Examiner later identified him as Presley Gerber, 27.

Police said there was no indication of foul play at this stage.

However, the official cause and manner of death have not yet been determined.

DEATH INVESTIGATED AS SUSPECTED OVERDOSE

Santa Monica police said detectives are investigating the death as a suspected overdose, but stressed that the final determination will come from the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner.

An autopsy was conducted, but additional testing is required before officials can establish the official cause and manner of death. The Medical Examiner has said the investigation remains ongoing and that it could take additional time before a final determination is released.

Dispatch recordings reviewed by PEOPLE indicated that emergency responders were sent to the location following reports of a cardiac arrest and an apparent overdose. PEOPLE reported that paramedics pronounced Gerber dead at approximately 9:45 a.m.

Those details have not changed the official medical finding: the cause of death remains pending.

FAMILY ASKS FOR PRIVACY

News of Gerber’s death was confirmed by a representative for Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber.

In a statement, the family asked the public to respect their privacy during what they described as a “very difficult and painful time.”

Gerber was the eldest child of Crawford and Rande Gerber and the older brother of model and actress Kaia Gerber.

The family has not publicly released further details about his death.
