College Student, 22, Fatally Shot by Police After Allegedly Going to the Wrong House

Pennsylvania College Baseball Player Glenwood Pysher IV, 22, Killed in Police Shooting
Glenwood “Bubba” Pysher IV, 22, a college student and baseball player, was fatally shot by police after authorities responded to a reported possible break-in at a home in Upper Pottsgrove Township, Pennsylvania.
The incident occurred at approximately 12:30 a.m. on August 23, 2026. According to Pysher’s family, he had been drinking with friends while celebrating a friend’s birthday.

Family members said Pysher later mistook another residence for his friend’s home and knocked on the door or attempted to enter. The homeowner contacted 911 to report a possible break-in.
When officers arrived, they reportedly found Pysher near the rear of the residence. Authorities said a confrontation followed, during which an officer opened fire, striking Pysher. He died as a result of the shooting.

Pysher’s family maintains that he was unarmed, saying he was carrying only his phone and a backpack at the time.
The precise circumstances of the confrontation, including what happened immediately before the officer fired, have not yet been established publicly. The Montgomery County Detective Bureau is investigating the shooting.
