Little Girl, 4, Killed in Tractor Accident One Month Before Her Fifth Birthday

4-Year-Old Girl Dies in Tragic Family Tractor Accident in Clark County
A 4-year-old girl has died after a tragic accident involving a family tractor in Clark County, leaving her loved ones mourning the loss of a child who was just weeks away from her fifth birthday.
The victim was Hellayna Michelle King, affectionately known by her family as Layna.
The accident happened on September 2, 2026, on Red River Road.
According to Clark County Coroner Neal Oliver, Hellayna was riding on an attachment at the rear of a family tractor when the vehicle suddenly stopped. The young girl was thrown from the attachment, after which the tractor backed over her.

Hellayna suffered fatal injuries in the accident.
She would have celebrated her fifth birthday on October 5, just over a month after the tragedy.
The family has also raised concerns about the emergency response. Relatives said they waited approximately 45 minutes for emergency responders to reach the scene, citing road issues or closures as a possible reason for the delay.
Hellayna’s aunt, LaDonna Lovings, said the family could never know for certain whether a faster emergency response would have changed the outcome.
The tragedy has left relatives and friends struggling to cope with the loss of a little girl who was so close to reaching another milestone in her young life.

Funeral services for Hellayna were held on September 5, 2026.
Her family has also appealed to the community for assistance with funeral expenses as they navigate the emotional and financial burden left by the sudden loss.
For those who loved Layna, the accident has transformed what should have been the weeks leading up to a child’s fifth birthday into a time of grief and remembrance.
