AMBER ALERT ISSUED FOR FOUR MISSING CHILDREN LAST SEEN LEAVING LOS ANGELES HOME WITH THEIR MOTHER

An urgent search is underway in Southern California for four young children who were last seen leaving their Los Angeles home with their biological mother.

Authorities issued an AMBER Alert after the children disappeared from their residence in the Reseda area of Los Angeles.

The children were identified as 9-year-old Anas Mirova, 5-year-old Zuhal Mirzoda, 2-year-old Maryam Mirova and 1-year-old Rayana Mirova.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, they were last seen at approximately 5:10 p.m. on Saturday, September 26, near the 6600 block of Reseda Boulevard.

CHILDREN LAST SEEN WITH THEIR MOTHER

Police identified the children’s biological mother as 31-year-old Mehrangez Sangalieva.

According to LAPD, a court order prohibited Sangalieva from moving the children from their current residence while an investigation was ongoing.

Authorities said the children were nevertheless seen leaving the residence with their mother on September 26.

The circumstances surrounding the court order and the underlying investigation have not been publicly detailed by police.

The California Highway Patrol subsequently activated the AMBER Alert on behalf of the LAPD.

Authorities believe Sangalieva may be traveling with the children in a gray 2011 Toyota Prius bearing California license plate 6SWK678.

WHO ARE THE MISSING CHILDREN?

Police have released descriptions of the four children to help members of the public identify them.

Anas Mirova, 9, is described as a boy with brown hair and brown eyes. He is approximately 4 feet 2 inches tall and weighs about 60 pounds.

Zuhal Mirzoda, 5, is described as a girl with brown hair and brown eyes.

Maryam Mirova, 2, is described as a girl with blonde hair and blue eyes. She is approximately 3 feet tall and weighs about 60 pounds.

Rayana Mirova, 1, is described as a girl weighing approximately 20 pounds.

Sangalieva is described by police as approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing about 155 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Authorities have urged members of the public not to approach the children or the suspected vehicle themselves, but instead to contact law enforcement.

SEARCH SPANS SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA

The alert covers a wide area of Southern California as authorities work to locate the children.

The California Highway Patrol’s alert was issued for Los Angeles and surrounding counties, reflecting the possibility that the vehicle could have traveled beyond the immediate Reseda area.

The case has drawn urgent attention because the children range in age from just 1 to 9 years old, with the youngest only a toddler.

The investigation remains active, and police have not publicly disclosed where the children or their mother may have traveled after leaving the residence.

AUTHORITIES CONTINUE SEARCH FOR ANSWERS

For now, investigators are focused on locating Anas, Zuhal, Maryam and Rayana and determining their whereabouts.

The circumstances surrounding the children’s disappearance remain under investigation, and authorities have provided no public information establishing what happened after the family left the Reseda residence.

Police are asking anyone who may have information — even seemingly minor details about the children, their mother or the gray Prius — to come forward.

The search continues as authorities work to bring the four children home safely.
