ALISA GOODS: MYSTERIOUS TEXTS FROM HER PHONE RAISED ALARM BEFORE HER DISCOVERY

When 63-year-old Alisa Goods disappeared during a trip to Las Vegas, her family immediately feared something was wrong.

Goods had left a friend’s apartment on August 8 to take a bus to a nearby CVS. She never returned and was reported missing on August 10.

Then, two days after she was reported missing, relatives began receiving messages from Alisa’s phone.

THE MESSAGES DIDN’T MAKE SENSE

The texts asked family members for help, gas money and Bitcoin.

Her niece, Alana Calloway, immediately noticed something strange: one request involved gas money, even though Alisa does not drive.

“If they have her phone, there’s a possibility that they have her,” Calloway told CBS News.

The messages intensified the family’s fear that someone else might have access to Alisa’s phone.

At that point, they had no idea where she was.

THEN POLICE MADE A TRAGIC DISCOVERY

On August 20, Las Vegas police responded to a report of a woman found in a drainage ditch near Harry Reid International Airport.

The woman was later identified as Alisa Goods.

Surveillance footage from August 8 showed Goods falling down an embankment, getting back up and then collapsing again. Police said there was no further movement observed afterward, and her location could not be seen from the street.

 MANY QUESTIONS REMAIN

The discovery provided an important piece of the timeline, but it did not explain everything.

Authorities have not publicly released a cause of death, and the circumstances surrounding the mysterious messages remain an important unanswered question.

For her family, the most disturbing part may be knowing that they were receiving messages from Alisa’s phone while they were desperately trying to find her.
